This is the story of Brett who was born into a religious Christian Protestant family but he just saw too many contradictions and inconsistencies. From a very young age he started searching for “truth.” For some time he almost gave up and starting partying with friends and didn’t want anything to do with religions.

When he turned 18 he joined the United States Army. He was deployed twice to Iraq where he worked as a diesel mechanic, translator, and detainee guard. It Was while deployed to Ramadi, Iraq that he started to really really research Islam. He saw the faith of some of the detainees and had to know how they could maintain such faith, strength, and resolve in the face of such adversity. He began a ten year study of Eastern and western faiths. After very careful consideration and much deliberation he decided to say the shahada and accept Islam becoming a Muslim and now fasting in Ramadan. Enjoy this weeks show!
