While Pastor Jones has called off this campaign, his virulent attacks on Islam have nonetheless created even more confusion regarding Islam and its primary religious text — the Qur’an (or Koran). 

So we decided to take a shot at a satire to educate people about the Qur’an to prevent any further similar initiatives come to fruition. This initiative was extremely inflammatory – spreading misconceptions and divisiveness over a very short period of time. This video attempts to demystify the Qur’an, dispelling some of the myths propagated.

Muslims believe the first word of revelation from Allah to the Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings upon him) was “Iqra” which literally means “read”. In that light we should give the Qur’an the benefit of the doubt, and read it in its entirety in conjunction with its proper exegesis (Tafseer) before jumping the gun.
