The proper approach of the enforcement of the law.
The Prophet salAllahu alaihi wasalam never stereotyped in terms of punishment. He didn’t group all persons from one group of people under the actions of the offender. The punishment for the offense was always proportionate to the offense that was committed. In the Constitution of Medinah, the Jews and Muslims are both to defend Medinah from attackers.
Surah 2:256 – “Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.”
